Bible Study

Our St. John the Baptist communities' weekly Bible Study ministry is open to all.  Whether you're a long-time member of our church or a newcomer, you're welcome to join us for our live sessions of 'Make His Path Straight: A St. John the Baptist Bible Study.' We meet on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm in the St. Nektarios Chapel for Readers Vespers, followed by dinner, the recording of our Bible Study, and Q&A, in our Church hall.  You're free to come and go as you please, joining a group whose goal is to discover Christ in His Scriptures and understand how He is calling us to live the lessons in these texts in our lives today. See the calendar below for bible study dates.

The Podcast

All Bible Study sessions are recorded and published every Friday!

Welcome to our community's first in-person bible study/podcast, Make His Path Straight: A St. John The Baptist Bible Study. The goal of this bible study is to invite each of us to gain a deeper understanding of what it means for us to participate in the scripture and tradition of the Church, gain a deeper understanding of scriptural texts by contemplating them alongside those in our tradition who have devoted their lives to understanding their depth of meaning, and ultimately by asking the question of what do these texts have to say about the way we live our lives today?

Weekly Reflections

My name is Nick Botsolis, and I am a novice Christian, a graduate of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, seller of books, and a Pastoral Assistant at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Boston South End.

Through all of these publications, my goal is to wrestle with what it means to be a Christian while asking how the Scriptures and tradition call each of us to live our lives in Christ.
